Mummy bloggers are responsible for some of the best parenting content online. Baby tips, baby product reviews or just a commentary on bringing up baby, these blogs hold huge value to Mums and Dads everywhere and brands all over the world are waking up to this. They can be hugely influential and have the power to sell a product in just a few words!
The problem is that mummy bloggers are becoming rather fed up with the PR invasion, to a point that is. You see, mummy bloggers are human beings, very influential human beings, but PRs are typically treating them like robots… or so our recent research reveals. Orbital Media asked 100 mummy bloggers to complete a survey about what influences them to promote a product/story or brand as well as what really turns them off. The results (below) were fascinating.
A significant quantity of content for these blogs comes from press releases. PR companies can bombard Mummy bloggers with news and information. Are the PRs getting their communication methods right?

• The good news is that, in our survey, 81% of Mummy bloggers will try to read all press releases sent to them.
