The Background

The sister brand of the UK’s favourite nappy rash cream, Sudocrem Skin Care Cream is a product aimed at the beauty market and loved by celebs everywhere. Its 30gm tube makes it an ideal addition to any handbag.

The Brief

Conceptualise a campaign relevant to the product’s values that will generate an immediate awareness of this exciting new beauty product. But make sure the idea is good enough to break through all the noise in the beauty market and engage on every level!

The Solution

Bagology! Never heard of it? Well, it’s certainly a unique concept and got the attention of over 150 UK beauty and fashion bloggers, not to mention, key online magazines such as Como and OK.

We developed a three part Bagology campaign, starting with FREE Bagology readings, encouraging bloggers and their readers to upload pictures of the contents of their handbags to the brand’s Facebook page so that the UK’s leading Handbag Therapist could ‘review’ them and provide personality readings. Huge success that inspired fantastic positive sentiment.

Secondly, we developed a unique Bagology Facebook app for the brand that identified what sort of person you are dependent upon the handbag that you carry. Again, never achieved before and a huge ongoing success that has seen hundreds of new ‘Likes’ to the Facebook page.

Finally, based on the fact the brand is 80 years old, we researched and provided a clear, fascinating insight as to the changing face of the handbag and its contents over the years. Engaging is an understatement!
